When one of Germany’s most beloved festivals traces it’s roots to Munich and Bavarian beer country, there has to be something in Munich that gives it the signature atmosphere that’s associated with an event as prominent as Octoberfest. This is a prime travel time (surprisingly September) to the German city, of course, but even if your university student, class or society trip is not revolved around the world’s greatest beer festival that doesn’t mean that you should cross Munich off as a potential student destination.
Munich is beautifully and colorfully structured and one of the largest cities in Germany (third after Berlin and Hamburg). It is also a major university town with more than ten third level institutions. When Munich is regarded as one of the top destinations for science and research and it also holds Deutsches Museum (the largest science and technology museum in the world), it is a natural destination for any science or technology students on a university trip. Some other attractions, galleries and museums in Munich to attract different majors include the BMW museum, the Ancient Temples, Modern Art Museum, the Jewish Museum, Dachau Memorial Site Tour and The House of Art.
Of course, other attractions to spark students’ interest in Munich are its fabulous brewery tours like our tours to the famous Paulaner Brahaus. Meanwhile, another alternative and hilarious beer orientated activity to enjoy is our beer bike tour where students can navigate Munich on a round seated beer bike with gallons of beer to keep them powered on their Munich escapades.
Students with an interest in sport and namely football can also always book a tour of the Allianz Arena and Bayer Munich’s home turf. Another stadium activity of extremely high proportions is our Olympic Stadium Tour where students can scale across the top of the grand structure on high ropes for some guaranteed adrenaline, and views if they dare to look!
Other student activities for your Munich class or society trip include beach games, bubble football, karting, high ropes adventures, laser games, paintball, water skiing and whitewater rafting.
Munich is well regarded for throwing a phenomenal party which is evident through Octoberfest and the most famous beer hall in the world, Hofbräuhaus am Platzl. The annual festival is not the only time that Munich puts on quite the show for eager party students and the city has some amazing bar and club districts and strips. Kultfabrik is one popular nightclub district to keep in mind for your Munich, class, society or student trip. While it showcases music and acts across all genres from jazz to techno and latin to pop, it is also known to host many special events and even costume themed parties along with some other free attractions for your student night out like swing boats and bull rides.

"Just want to thank UniTripper on behalf of the UCD Sub Aqua club. Your website and payment system was so handy - the committee didn't have to chase people for payment and to find out who was and wasn't going. I'll definitely be recommending Unitripper.com to the other Clubs & Socs"
