When one of Germany’s most beloved festivals traces it’s roots to Munich and Bavarian beer country, there has to be something in Munich that gives it the signature atmosphere that’s associated with an event as prominent as Octoberfest. This is a prime travel time (surprisingly September) to the German city, of course, but even if your university student, class or society trip is not revolved around the world’s greatest beer festival that doesn’t mean that you should cross Munich off as a potential student destination.
